Preserving Ancient Traditions

India's perfumery tradition is over 5,000 years old — mentioned in ancient Vedic texts and perfected during the Mughal era. The art of making attar (natural perfume oil) through hydro-distillation is a technique passed down through generations of master craftsmen.

At LVARAA, we are custodians of this heritage. Our traditional attar collection is made using the same age-old methods — pure flower petals distilled over sandalwood oil in copper vessels called degs. It's a slow, painstaking process that can take weeks, but the result is a fragrance so pure, so alive, that no synthetic can ever replicate it.

Our Bakhoor collection continues another ancient tradition — the burning of fragrant wood chips and resins to perfume homes and spaces, a practice cherished across the Middle East and South Asia for centuries.
